Deputy Manager

(Havercroft) £9.37 per hour

  • We currently have a vacancy for a Deputy Manager at our fabulous Havercroft Nursery. Working 40 hours per week between 7:15am & 6:30pm. You will have a minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare with at least 2 years experience of working in a Preschool/Nursery ideally already in a senior practitioner or room leader role

    You will be someone who is dynamic, has the ability to work as part of a team, be able to use your initiative and time manage your day effectively to ensure the smooth running of our nursery.

    Kids World are committed to safeguarding and protecting the children in our care, you will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.

    Main Activities
    * Overall management responsibility for the preschool nursery in the absence of the Manager 
    * Assist the Manager in providing effective day to day management of the preschool nursery
    * To ensure that the preschool nursery provides a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times
    * To ensure that the preschool nursery plans an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress
    * To ensure the preschool nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times 
    *  In conjunction with the Manager, to manage, supervise and support the preschool nursery staff
    • To work with other professionals in the local area for the benefit of children and families
    • To ensure all staff understand and work to preschool nursery policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies
    • To organise the key worker system
    • To liaise closely with parents/carers, informing them about the Nursery and its curriculum, exchanging information about children’s progress and encouraging parents’ involvement with learning stories and preschool life.
    • To work in partnership with senior management to update and review policies and procedures in line with Nursery development and self-evaluation

Early Years Practitioner 

(Havercroft) £6.66-£9.01 per hour

  • We currently have a vacancy for an early year’s practitioner at our fabulous Havercroft Nursery. Working 40 hours per week between 7:15am & 6:30pm. You will have a minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare with at least 1 years experience of working in a nursery environment but most of all ……..

    You will be someone who is dynamic, has the ability to work as part of a team, be able to use your initiative and time manage your day effectively to ensure the smooth running of our nursery.

    Kids World are committed to safeguarding and protecting the children in our care, you will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.

    We are also looking for someone who….
    * Has a warm smiling face that makes every child feel special.
    * Feels comfortable telling everybody in the same room as them that they are going to the toilet!
    * Doesn’t have to have the ability to be able to sing in tune but must have the confidence to sing out of tune in front of a crowd.
    * Must possess the skills required to rapidly count the heads of numerous moving small people. This is of the utmost importance.
    * Must have a high level of comfort talking about bodily functions.
    * Must have the ability to pretend to eat playdough creations realistically. This is an essential requirement along with drinking numerous cups of pretend tea.
    * Must be prepared to have lots of fun in the workplace. Laughter is something you can expect to engage in for a large part of your working day.
    * Loves being outside come rain or shine. At Kids World we love the outdoor environment!
    * Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to many young children and their families. There is simply no other job quite like it.
